seminar organized by PowerELab Ltd.
was held on Aug 28, 2004 at the Lecture Theatre A of the University
of Hong Kong.

The seminar started at 10:00 am, following an
opening speech with introduction of Power ELab Ltd.
This CAD tools is very
simple to use. At a click on the mouse it will provide a complete
power supply design including the circuit diagram and Bill of
Material. Electronic components are presented together with
distributor information so that engineers can immediately place
orders. This new tool will drastically cut down the lead time for
the engineer to design in, and it will also cut down trouble arising
from choosing wrong components. Switching power supply needs all
sorts of electronic components such as capacitors, resistors, coils,
transformers, ICs, power devices. This new tool will become a channel
on the Internet through which components can be promoted globally.
A demonstration and the way to join this program
was presented before the end of seminar.
At the next AHKEA Networking Dinner on Sept
24, 2004, Dr. Bryan Pong will present this new component promotion
method again. The idea will be explained by a short presentation
and the tool will be demonstrated.
