       Driving on the Technology Highway of Hong Kong
                                               Second Free Seminar  

To focus and stimulate technology transfer and development of respective critical components industries, a series of free half-day seminars are being organized monthly by TechMart of HKPC and co-organized by Hong Kong Critical Components Manufacturers Association (HKCCMA),  America Hong Kong Electronics Association (AHKEA) and Hong Kong Optoelectronics Association (HKOEA).

The second seminar held at
 the TechMart theme Hall, HKPC on July 14, 2003 have attracted over 40 participants.

The seminar was started at 3:30 pm, Mr. Mark Lam, President of HKCCMA/Vice-Chairman of AHKEA/ Director of HKOEA delivered an opening speech,  and presented souvenirs to three speakers. 



 

Afterward,  the following three talks were delivered:

1) Topic : MPLS Technology - The Most Advanced Professional Communication Solution to Maximize Operational Efficiency for Cross-Border Business

Guest Speaker:
Mr. Stephen Ho, Executive Vice President, Operations, CITIC Pacific Communications Limited cum Chief Executive Officer, CPCNet Hong Kong Limited

2) Topic : Telemedicine : I See the Highway, Where is the Ramp?

Guest Speaker:
Dr. Yuan-ting Zhang, Joint Research Center for Biomedical Engineering (JCBME), the Chinese University of Hong Kong

3) Topic : Photonic Sensors for Biomedical Applications

Guest Speaker :
Dr. Aaron HP Ho, Associate Professor, the Chinese University of Hong Kong



Followed by a Networking section, the event was ended at 6:00 pm.
