Service Inaugurating Ceremony
June 24, 2003, the first day after Hong Kong being removed
from SARS infected area by WHO, also a remarkable day of the Hong
Kong Science Park. Their IC Design Centre Service Inaugurating
Ceremony was conducted on this fine day at the Lobby, Innovation
Centre of HKSP, with over hundred guests participated this wonderful
event.
The ceremony started at 11:30 am, Mr. CD Tam, CEO of HKSTP delivered
a Welcome Speech, he highlighted the kick-start of successful
partnership with IC vendors such as PCCW, Sun Microsystems, and this
good fung-shui day also makes a wonderful day for the five HKSTP
incubatees office to move in (DragonChip Ltd., RedRock SEMI (HK)
Ltd., ASIC Technology Ltd., Blue Solve Ltd., and Minilogic
Corporation Ltd.).
Then, the following guests have delivered speeches:
* Mr. Gary Chow, President of Commercial Business, PCCW Ltd.
* Mr. Danny Tam, GM of Sun Microsystems HK Ltd.
* Mr. Al Kwok, Co-founder and GM, RedRockSEMI (HK) Ltd.
* Mr. Felix Wong, CEO, Dragonchip Ltd.
A Roast Pig Cutting Ceremony was conducted by those
Executives of HKSTP. PCCW Ltd., Sun Microsystems HK, RedRock,
Dragonchip, ASIC, Blue Solve nd Minilogic.
Tour of IC Design Centre for Media and Guest were
conducted, participants visited the IC Design training Centre, Data Centre and Incu-Tech Centre, a press meeting was also held
after the Media tour.
Finally, a nice launch buffet was arranged at Cyber
Cafe of Core building, the ceremony was successfully ended after
this good networking time.
