HKOEA Dinner Gathering
A Dinner Gathering organized by Hong
Kong Optoelectronics Association was held at City Chinese
Restaurant (Shing Hin), 8/F Amenities Building, City University of
Hong Kong on June 12, 2003, attracted over 50
executives and professionals of industry joined this event.
During the dinner, a talk
was delivered by Dr. Torsten Wipiejewski, VP of
Photonic Application, ASTRI,
Torsten recently joined ASTRI with special focus on application. He
gave an overview update on optical telecom and datacom
communication system as well as touching on new emerging areas like
the consumer electronics and automobile applications.
Mr. Daniel Lau, Founding President of HKOEA, and
Sr. Vice President Mr. William Yim have briefly updated the roadmap
of HKOEA and activities this few months.
Daniel also introduced Ms Karen Cheung, the new Executive Secretary
of HKOEA, who has well organized this dinner gathering. All
participant have had a wonderful networking during the dinner.
