"How Science Technology Park assist Hong Kong Hi-Tech industries?"
The Networking Dinner was held on 29 March, 2007 (Thursday) at 7:00PM. at 8/F Amenities Building, City University of Hong Kong, Tat Chee Avenue, Kowloon Tong. We were proud to have Mr. Carlos Genardini, the Chief Executive Officer, Hong Kong Science and Technology Park Corporation as our guest speaker. He shared his view on the subject.
Around 6:45PM, guests and members arrived the venue. We were glad to see the tremendous support from the industry and business associates. Meeting new friends, finding partners and reunion were the main purpose of the evening.

| The Hon. Secretary, Alan Kan announced the dinner to be started while Vice Chairman Victor Ng delivered the welcoming speech. |

| After 4 dishes, Guest of Honour, Mr. Carols Genardini shared his insight with the attendees.

| Carlos emphasized that innovation through R&D is the key for sustaining growth and value added products and services. Hong Kong Science and Technology Park enables success by providing cluster of key success factors especially intellectual resources. |

| There were sharp questions from the floor. "How does HKSTC assist young entrepreneurs?" Cyril asked. |

Last but not least, all questions were addressed and noted. The CEO shook hands with all participants before departure.
Alan welcomed 5 new members for this months namely, Advanced Materials Enterprises Limited, TUV SUD Hong Kong Limited, Chow Man Bun, Thomas, Automotive Parts and Accessory Systems R&D Centre and Aoba-Hopkins Information Management Ltd.
Victor announced that the Trade and Industry Department granted SME development fund for the embedded software project. This was the first time that AHKEA was awarded this funding. The project entitled a newly hired full time staff for 18 months and a series of survey, workshop and seminars implemented by HKPC.
Peter revealed the theme of networking dinner in April as "Update on Regulations impacting Electronics Industry". The dinner will be held on 27 April, 2007. This would be critical to electronics manufacturers. |
