Lead
free soldering development in HKPC and impacts to ROHS and WEEE
Organized by HKPC and co-organized by AHKEA and HKCCMA, a free
seminar "Lead free soldering development in HKPC and impacts to
ROHS and WEEE" was held at CEPA Centre of HKPC Building on Nov
5, 2004, over 60 participants attended this seminar.
The seminar started at 3:30 pm, Mr. SL Law - Sr.
Principal Consultant, introduced their team members Mr. Daniel
Chan- Sr. Consultant, Mr. Thomas Chow - Principal Consultant, Ms.
Angel Wong - Consultant and Mr. Fritz Chan-Consultant of HKPC, they
have been working on Lead Free Soldering development for many years,
and are now ready to provide professional consultancy services to
electronic industries.
Mr. Law and Mr. Chan introduced lead free soldering
and those impacts to ROHS and WEEE - two EU
directives which are to be implemented on July 01, 2006. During
the Q & A session, Mr. SL Law/Daniel Chan/Thomas Chow and Ms
Angel Chan answered all questions from participants during the Q
& A session.
Before the end of this seminar, Mr. Law invited Mr. Stephen Pong -
Secretary General & Executive Director of America Hong Kong
Electronics Association and Mr. Mark Lam - President of The Hong
Kong Critical Components Manufacturing Association, delivered a
short speech about the Lead free soldering and effort from HKPC.
The seminar was ended at 5:30 pm after a tour at the Advanced
Electronics Processing Lab with lead free soldering equipment.
