Luncheon to launch
"One Factory-One Year-One Environmental Project"
"One
Factory-One Year-One Environmental Project" Luncheon, organized
by Federation of Hong Kong Industries (FHKI), was held on March 11,
2005 at Ballroom, JW Marriott Hotel, Pacific Place, Hong Kong.
Dr. Sarah Liao 廖秀冬博士,
Secretary for the Environment, Transport & Works has attended
the luncheon as the guest of honour.
"One
Factory-One Year-One Environmental Project" (One-One-One) is
one of the most important initiative of the FHKI this year.
The FHKI holds the position that environment consciousness and
efforts should be the cornerstones of corporations and factories
operating either in Hong Kong or the PRD.
As a
demonstration of this conviction, the FHKI has initiated this
Triple One programme and sought funding support from companies and
members. Many companies are supporting this programme, Hong Kong
Productivity Council is one of the Project Advisers. This
luncheon is one of the programme, all income, net of expenses,
derived from the luncheon will be used to fund Triple One which is a
going programme.
The event was
started with a Cocktail Reception at 12:30 pm, then all guests
enjoyed an excellent lunch freely and happily.


After lunch, Mr. Kenneth
Ting, Chairman of the Federation of Hong Kong Industries, delivered
an opening speech. Then, Dr. Sarah Liao presented a speech about
environment, and Mr. Daniel Cheng, Chairman of Group 26,
Environmental Industries, FHKI, introduced the Triple One
programme.

Mr. Kenneth Ting officiated the Triple One Programme by a Programme
Lunch Ceremony with the project committees.

After the
ceremony, Mr. Kenneth Ting presented a souvenir to Dr. Sarah Liao,
Dr. Sarah Liao presented souvenirs to project advisers, and Mr.
Kenneth Ting presented souvenirs to technical advisers. Lastly, the
luncheon was successfully ended after vote of thanks by Mr. Robin
Chiu, Director General of the Federation of Hong Kong
Industries.
