Dr.
Wong is now the Regional Director Asia of Analytical
& Chemical Services at Bureau Veritas Consumer Products Services (BVCPS),
responsible for all the analytical & Chemical laboratories in
Greater China region, South East Asia together with the
Indian Subcontinent. He has years of technical hand-on
experience in safety, regulatory and quality assurance
assessments of consumer products. He also possesses
experiences in environmental assessment, waste testing
services, system evaluations relating to quality,
environmental, CGMP and other control systems.
Before
joining BV, he worked in a bio-technology firm and the
Dental School of the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor,
MI, in the area of Biomedical Engineering. His job
was
to regenerate living organs or tissues using
biodegradable polymer scaffolds and somatic cells.
Samuel
graduated from the University of Hong Kong with a
Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry with First Class
Honor. He then studied Chinese medicinal compounds
and obtained his Master of Philosophy degree from the
same university. After that he flew to the United
States and attended Cornell University, Ithaca, New
York. There he gained his degrees of Master of Science
and Doctor of Philosophy in Polymer Sciences with
interest in biological macromolecules of outstanding
mechanical properties.
